Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective control and prudent management of profitable underwriting business and placement of re-insurance, including preparation of monthly budgets, sourcing new business, risk pricing and monitoring of loss ratios. The incumbent will be required to spend time and focus on broker and agent visit and devise marketing strategies/programmes that will improve insurance awareness and visibility.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities;

Applicants must have a Degree in Insurance or Risk Management or a relevant University Degree with ACII or significant progress towards attainment of an insurance qualification. At least 5 years short term underwriting experience, at a supervisory level with knowledge of insurance regulations and legal principles. |
