Reporting to the Claims Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for processing of claims whilst ensuring that the Company discharges its contractual obligations.
Duties:
- Investigate and process claims so that the Company only compensates for what they are liable, and recover what is due (includes reinsurance);
- Ensure adequate and/or accurate reserves on registration of claims;
- Liaise with Underwriting function for better risk management and prudent underwriting
- Maintenance of up to date claims registers
- May be required to represent the Company at pre-trial conferences and trials at court.
Qualifications:
- Degree plus 1 year Insurance experience or Cambridge "O" level plus COP with a minimum of three years short term insurance background
- Must be computer literate
